Back From Ashes (also initialized as BFA) is a rock metal band from Phoenix, Arizona. The band began in 2005[1] with Jason Hobel as the lead vocalist, Mike Butikofer/Matt Manion on guitars, Lane Lariviere on bass and Steve Belcastro on drums. Prior to 2007, Anthony De Jesus took over Manion on guitar while David Digilio took over on bass. Pete Hawley also took over on drums. The lineup for the band was finalized in 2007.[2]

In 2010,[3] the band released its second studio album 261, produced by Ryan Greene.

The band was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2010, and won “Video of the Year” and “Modern Rock Band of the Year” at the LA Music/Phoenix Music Awards.[4]
